Scholastic Audit Overview
What is a Scholastic Audit?
A Scholastic Audit is a comprehensive review of the learning environment, organizational efficiency, and the academic performance of a school. Audit findings are used to determine the type and level of support necessary to continuously improve student academic performance in each school that receives an audit.

How will schools be evaluated?
A Scholastic Audit team will evaluate schools using the Scholastic Audit Performance Descriptor/Rubric and accompanying documents developed by the Louisiana Department of Education and based on best practices. The audit process results in Recommendations and Next Steps which are unique to each school and will be used to improve teaching, learning, and school climate. Schools will be required to incorporate the Next Steps into their most recently revised School Improvement Plan (SIP) and add recommendations after meeting the requirements listed in the Next Steps.
