School Improvement Plan (SIP)
School Improvement Plan
Louisiana's Public Education Accountability System is designed to improve school and student performance. It encourages schools to provide learning environments that meet state standards and the needs of each child. The accountability system emphasizes continuous growth. Every school can improve and show academic growth.
An underlying complementary effort is the School Improvement Plan (SIP), which assesses the school's strengths and weaknesses, implements strategies and activities to address the school's needs, and continually evaluates the school's progress toward achieving its objectives and meeting its goals. Plans focus on improving student achievement at the school by addressing state goals and performance standards.
