Mission

The mission of the Division of Planning, Analysis, and Information Resources is to provide an information system of the highest quality possible that:

  • Contains accurate and timely data
  • Delivers information in an understandable, easily accessible format
  • Supports and aids the decision making processes of policy makers
  • Meets the long term needs of the Louisiana Department of Education
  • Provides leadership in the efficient use of technology by fully using the Internet and other means of mass communication
Responsibilities

The Division of PAIR is responsible for performing data analysis, conducting research, managing the strategic and operational planning of the department, managing the department's primary data collection system, and providing various levels of telecommunications, computer, and software support to the department, secondary and elementary schools, Regional Service Centers, and the Technical Colleges.
